2027: Nasarawa North APC stakeholders endorse Tinubu, Sule for Senate

Stakeholders of All Progressives Congress (APC) from Nasarawa North Senatorial District have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and Gov. Abdullahi Sule to vie for Nasarawa North Senatorial seat in 2027.

The decision was reached during an expanded stakeholders meeting on Sunday in Akwanga.

Mr Timothy Anjide, a former Secretary to Nasarawa State Government (SGS) read the communiqué at the end of the meeting.

He said that the meeting was convened to deliberate on pressing issues concerning the party, government and the future of the senatorial district.

Anjide said that after extensive and fruitful deliberations, the stakeholder resolved to endorse President Tinubu for a second therm in 2027 in recognition of his vision, leadership, and developmental focus.

They also acknowledged and appreciated the President appointing sons and daughters of Nasarawa North Senatorial district into strategic positions in federal agencies, boards, and parastatals.

He said that the stakeholders appreciated Gov. Sule for his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, impactful developmental strides, and consistent support for the APC family in the district.

“We, therefore, unanimous pass a vote of confidence on Gov Abdullahi Sule, with strong call and appeal to him to represent Nasarawa North in the Senate come 2027,” he said

He said that the stakeholders had resolved to work in unity and solidarity to strengthen the APC across all polling units, wards and local government areas in the senatorial district.

“The meeting emphasised discipline, inclusion and grassroots mobilisation,” he said.

The former SGS said that the stakeholders pledged to continue supporting policies and initiatives aimed at uplifting communities, empowering the youths and women, and ensuring sustained development in the district.

“The meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, shared vision and collective responsibility to uphold the ideas and objectives of the APC in the district and beyond,” he said

Mr Mohammed Muluku, the Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development had moved a motion for the endorsement of Tinubu’s second term, and call for Sule to contest senate seat.

He said that the call for Sule to vie for senate was to reward him for his laudable achievements in the zone and across the state.

Mr Yakubu Kwanta, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development seconded the motion.

Also speaking, Rep. Jeremiah Umaru (APC- Akwanga/ Nassarawa Eggon/ Wamba), Muazu Adamu Goshi, the Commissioner for Works, Sen. John Boyi, Alhaji Sulaiman Musa Nagogo, DG, Nasarawa State Bureau Pension Bureau, urged all APC stakeholders to unite for the victory of the party in 2027 and beyond.

Earlier, Mr Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area, said that the meeting convened by chairmen local government areas from the zone was aimed at uniting stakeholders and charting a way forward to ensure victory for APC in 2027.
