Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State has made a new vow.He vowed to push the incoming administration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to release Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.Soludo said if Buhari fails to release Kanu before May 29 when he hands over, he would appeal to Tinubu to take the action.Since assuming office, Soludo had severally appealed to Buhari to release Kanu, who is locked up at the Department of State Services, DSS.In April, Soludo had written a letter to Buhari to release Kanu.However, he expressed hope that his previous letters appealing for Kanu’s release were copied to Tinubu.Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Soludo said: “The Attorney General is also copied in this letter and if President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration fails to take advantage of this opportunity to really rise above every other thing and be a statesman as it were, if the president fails to take advantage of that, we will be pursuing the same thing with the incoming administration.”The Governor also noted that Kanu’s release would bring about sustainable peace and security in the Southeast.
