Nigeria is currently in in ICU, says Tambuwal

Former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal

The former Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has decried that the country is not only in a coma but in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Tambuwal, who is the current Senator Representing Sokoto South Senatorial District, said it has gotten to that point where journalists do not need to ask any newsmaker to know how things are worsening by the day in Nigeria.

The lawmaker, while making passionate appeal to journalists to help the country by being more objective and step up in their reportage, added that, Nigeria needs the media now more than ever before.

”There is more than enough to talk about in Nigeria today. Let all of us, as Nigerians speaks to our humanity. The situation of this country has gotten to the top. Which one do you want to talk about? Is it insecurity, hunger, hardship or name it. And most amusingly, we now have leadership without compassion”.

Tambuwal, who urged Nigerians to come together and salvage the country from the current trajectory of uncertainty, also stressed that both the leaders and the led will give account of their deeds in the hereafter, hence the need to fear God in our dealings.

”Let us remember that we will all give accounts of our deeds here on earth. Therefore, let’s come together to salvage the nation from the current path it has found itself. We all have the responsibility of ensuring that the country gets better for all of us”‘.
