AFCON 2025 Final: CAF Awards Morocco 3-0 Victory as Senegal Forfeits Match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially ruled on the outcome of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 final, declaring Morocco as winners following Senegal’s forfeiture.

In a decision released by @CAF_media, the CAF Appeal Board confirmed that the Senegal national team forfeited the final match in line with the governing regulations.

According to the statement:

“The CAF Appeal Board decided that in application of Article 84 of the Regulations of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Senegal National Team is declared to have forfeited the Final Match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 (‘the Match’), with the result of the Match being recorded as 3–0 in favour of the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).”

Following this ruling, the final result has been officially recorded as a 3-0 victory in favour of Morocco’s football governing body, the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).

The decision brings clarity to the outcome of the highly anticipated tournament final, with Morocco now formally recognised as champions of AFCON 2025 under CAF regulations.
