Air Peace, United Nigeria Jack Up Fares to N350,500 for Christmas Travel Rush

Two leading Nigerian airlines, Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines, have announced a significant increase in economy class airfares, setting tickets at N350,500 for the festive season.

This price hike will impact travel between Lagos, Abuja, and destinations in the South East (Owerri, Enugu, and Anambra) and South South (Port Harcourt and Asaba) regions. Return flights from these locations to Lagos or Abuja will also cost N350,500.

The updated fares are prominently displayed on the airlines’ websites. Air Peace’s N350,500 fare applies from December 1, 2025, through January 30, 2026. United Nigeria’s fare of N350,500 begins on December 11, 2025, and continues until the end of the month.

However, United Nigeria will reduce its one-way economy tickets to N150,000 for flights from Abuja to Asaba, Anambra, Port Harcourt, and Owerri starting January 1, 2026.

Flights to northern destinations during the festive period are comparatively more affordable. Air Peace offers one-way economy tickets from Lagos to Kano at N106,900, though fares may spike to N350,500 on select days. United Nigeria maintains a consistent fare of N220,499 for the same route.

Air Peace operates limited flights from Lagos to Yola, with tickets priced at N350,500 on operational days.
