The Presidency has debunked reports circulating about the replacement of Senator George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
In a statement, the Presidency clarified that there has been no change in Akume’s status as SGF and that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not made any new appointments.
The Presidency attributed the reports to “agents of mischief” and advised Nigerians to disregard the “fake news.”
The President is currently in Saint Lucia, and there are no indications of any changes in the government’s leadership structure.
