The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the composition of committees that will oversee its forthcoming National Assembly primary elections across the country.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party disclosed that both the Primary Election Committees and the Primary Election Appeal Committees have been constituted ahead of the exercise.
The party said the move forms part of preparations for the National Assembly primaries and is aimed at ensuring a smooth and credible process.
According to the statement, the committees are expected to supervise the conduct of the primaries and address complaints that may arise from the exercise.
The APC urged party members, aspirants and stakeholders to conduct themselves peacefully and in line with the party’s guidelines throughout the process.
The party also stressed the need for transparency, fairness and internal democracy during the primaries, noting that all participants must work together to ensure a successful exercise.
