Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has announced the official resumption of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) membership registration and revalidation exercise, describing it as a major step toward strengthening the party’s internal structure.
In a statement shared via his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle: @ CCSoludo on Monday, Soludo disclosed that he and his wife, Nonye Soludo, were the first to participate in the process to encourage party members nationwide.
“I am proud to announce that All Progressives Grand Alliance has officially recommenced its membership registration and revalidation exercise, in line with the Electoral Act. My wife, Dr Nonye, and I led by example, being the first to undergo the process, we have revalidated our membership of the foremost Progressives party in Nigeria,” Soludo wrote.
The governor explained that the new registration system represents a major shift toward digital governance within the party, aimed at improving transparency and efficiency.
“This digital transformation is a game-changer, setting APGA apart as a pioneer in Nigerian politics. We are not just updating our records; we are building a robust, credible party structure,” he stated.
According to Soludo, the exercise includes the integration of the National Identification Number (NIN) in line with provisions of the new Electoral Act, a move he said would enhance the credibility of the party’s membership database.
“With National Identification Number (NIN) integration as stipulated by the new electoral Act, we are ensuring the integrity of our membership data base,” he added.
Urging party members and supporters to take full advantage of the exercise, Soludo called on existing members to revalidate their status and encouraged new entrants to join the party.
“I urge all APGA members to take advantage of this opportunity to cement their place in our party and encourage new members to join the movement. The registration and revalidation process is seamless and we have simplified it so much that no one will be left behind. See the last slide for details!” he said.
The governor also directed interested Nigerians to register through the party’s official online portal.
“Kindly click the link below to register online as an APGA member. officialapga.ng. Join the Foremost Progressive Movement today. Join APGA,” he wrote.
