Manchester City handed Arsenal their first Wembley final loss under Mikel Arteta, beating them 2–0 in the Carabao Cup.

In the 60th minute, young City star Nico O’Reilly pounced on a spilled cross from Arsenal keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to make it 1–0. Four minutes later, he scored again, heading home a perfect cross from Matheus Nunes. Those two quick goals killed Arsenal’s hopes.
The win adds another trophy to Pep Guardiola’s collection, roughly his 16th major one with City, and shows why he’s still one of the most successful managers in England.
For Arteta, it’s a first slip at Wembley in a cup final — a rare misstep for the Gunners boss. The loss leaves Arsenal to fight for the Champions League, FA Cup, and Premier League.
The star of the night was clearly O’Reilly, who went from relative unknown to cup final hero in just a few minutes. City’s mix of youth and experience worked perfectly, and Arsenal never got back into the game.
City celebrate another trophy, while Arsenal have to regroup quickly if they want to save their season.
