Niger State Governor, Umar Bago

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru-Bago, has mourned the death of Hajiya Rahmatu Awwal Ibrahim, wife of the Emir of Zazzau Suleja, Alhaji Muhammadu Awwal Ibrahim.

In a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, on Saturday in Minna, the governor expressed deep sympathy to the Emir over the loss.

Bago described the deceased as a great woman and a mother figure to many who came in contact with her.

He said her passing had created a vacuum not only in the life of the Emir but also among the people within and outside the Suleja Emirate.

The governor urged the Emir, members of the Suleja Emirate Council and the entire Emirate to accept her death as an act of Allah.

He said the Emir should be consoled by the impactful life the deceased lived, her legacies, and the memories they shared.

Bago prayed Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljanah Firdausi, and give the Emir, his family and the people of the Emirate the fortitude to bear the loss.
