Ballon d’Or 2026: Bodo/Glimt Join PSG, Arsenal, Bayern, Flamengo On Club Of The Year Shortlist

Norwegian champions FK Bodo/Glimt have emerged as the surprise nominees on the five-club shortlist for the 2026 Ballon d’Or Men’s Club of the Year award.

The club joins Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Brazilian giants Flamengo in the race for one of football’s top team honours.

Ballon d’Or organisers unveiled the nominees on Monday, with Bodo/Glimt becoming the first Norwegian club ever to receive the recognition.

Flamengo are the only non-European side on the shortlist after an outstanding campaign in South America.

The award celebrates the men’s club judged to have enjoyed the best overall season based on performances and major achievements.

The winner will be announced during the 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony scheduled for October 26, 2026, in London, the first time the event will be staged outside Paris.
