Igbo highlife legend, Gentle Mike Ejeagha, who went viral with BrainJotter “Gwo Gwo Gwo Gwoh” has died at 95.
The rumors were out yesterday, but now his eldest son has confirmed his passing. Stating that, the legend died following an illness he has struggled with for years.
Last year, Brain Jotter introduced Gentle Man Mike to the new generation after using his 1983 track Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche for a viral dance challenge that spread even into Europe.
Following this, Mike was acknowledged by Nigeria and the State Government, with accompanying benefits.
Most of all, fans are glad he got to experience the modern limelight, for his effort in preserving the Igbo culture through music.
