The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has said that the life of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, was defined by duty, discipline, and a remarkable consistency of purpose.

Kekere-Ekun in a tribute on Monday in Abuja said she received with sadness but with gratitude to God for a life well lived, the news of the death of Buhari.

She added that Buhari’s unwavering commitment to the Nigerian project despite personal and political setbacks stands as a lasting testament to his resilience and belief in the nation’s potential.

“In a time of shifting values, Buhari’s example reminded Nigerians of the importance of perseverance, principles, and public service.

“I commiserate with his immediate family, the government and people of Katsina State and indeed all Nigerians, on the loss of the great statesman who served his country diligently.

“I urge all Nigerians to reflect on his legacy and draw inspiration from his dedication to national development’’.

The CJN prayed for the repose of soul of the former Nigeria’s leader who will be buried in his Daura ancestral home in line with islamic injunctions. (NAN)
