Burna Boy Detained Over Billion-Naira Jewellery at Morocco Airport, CAF Boss Discloses

CAF President Patrice Motsepe has revealed that Nigerian singer Burna Boy encountered unexpected challenges upon arriving at a Moroccan airport due to his heavy and flashy gold jewellery.

According to Motsepe, customs officers became suspicious of the singer’s accessories because of their weight and appearance, leading to a delay in his clearance. Motsepe said, “customs officers noticed his heavy and eye-catching gold jewellery.”

The incident reportedly occurred as Burna Boy was entering Morocco for the CAF event, where he was expected to perform.

While the exact duration of the delay was not disclosed, the revelation highlights the strict security and customs procedures at Moroccan airports, especially for high-profile visitors. Burna Boy has not publicly commented on the incident.
