Chelsea’s Struggles Deepen as Forest Hand Them Sixth Straight League Defeat at the Bridge

Chelsea’s difficult run continued on Monday night after a 3–1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, extending their Premier League losing streak to six straight games.

Forest were ahead inside two minutes. Taiwo Awoniyi (2’) reacted quickest after Chelsea failed to clear a loose ball in the box and finished from close range.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 15th minute when Igor Jesus (15’) converted from the penalty spot after a VAR review confirmed a foul inside the area.

Chelsea were given a chance to respond midway through the first half, but Cole Palmer’s penalty was saved by Matz Sels, a key moment that kept Forest in control.

Forest stayed compact after the break and made the game safe just after the hour mark, with Awoniyi (60’) scoring his second of the night on the counterattack.

Chelsea pulled one back in stoppage time through João Pedro (90+3’), but it came too late to change the result.

The defeat leaves Chelsea with just one goal scored and 14 conceded in their last six Premier League matches.
