The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, on Tuesday joined the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police and other senior security stakeholders at the Fourth Nigeria-United Kingdom Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue held in Abuja.
The high-level engagement, co-chaired by the National Security Adviser and the United Kingdom National Security Adviser, Jonathan Powell, focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in addressing evolving security challenges and advancing mutual strategic interests.
The enduring partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom remains a critical pillar in enhancing defence collaboration, capacity building, intelligence sharing and regional security. The Nigerian Army remains committed to working with national and international partners to strengthen security, promote stability and safeguard Nigeria’s sovereignty in line with the Federal Government’s national security objectives.
