The Coalition of Civil Society of Nigeria (COCSON) has congratulated Chief Chikwe Udensi on his victory at the Federal High Court in Abuja, which nullified the Abia APGA governorship primaries elections on the ground of irregularities.

The newly elected President of COCSON, Comrade Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, in his congratulatory message on Friday, pledged that the Coalition would mobilize massive support to ensure the actualization of Udensi’s governorship candidacy in Abia.

He said: “We are not particularly surprised by Udensi’s victory at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, which voided the governorship primary election of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State and the order to conduct a fresh primary election within 14 days.

“We are excited that his victory gives hope to ordinary Abaians who have gone through a lot of recent.

He noted that “the court’s decision was expressed in very unambiguous and unmistaken terms. We wholeheartedly congratulate and rejoice with him.”

“Udensi is Godsend, APGA has suffered for so long in Abia and this is the time God will give us victory. God has remembered Abia APGA by giving us a dynamic young-man like Udensi to take the state to the next level.

“Age is on his side, among all the aspirants this group picked him, because he is the most qualified, and we are sure that he would lead APGA to the promised land

To this end, Comrade Ikechukwu, said the group will do everything humanly possible to ensure that Udensi win the reschedule primary election because of his impeccable character and proven track records.

He added that the group strongly supports INEC in the use of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
