Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido paid a courtesy visit to Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio in Freetown ahead of his rescheduled beach concert linked to the ongoing AFCON 2025 festivities.
The visit forms part of Davido’s 5ive Alive World Tour, with the singer describing Sierra Leone as his second home and promising to return for a future stadium concert. He recalled his 2017 performance in the country, which drew a crowd of over 50,000 fans.
President Bio welcomed the artiste warmly, noting the excitement surrounding his visit and the anticipated concert. Fans online also reacted to the meeting, highlighting Davido’s growing profile after similar high-level engagements this year with Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and France’s President Emmanuel Macron.
