DSS rescues 4 abducted Zamfara polytechnic students

The Department of State Services (DSS) has rescued the four remaining students of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, abducted by bandits in Zamfara State.

A statement by the DSS says the students regain their freedom during a coordinated intelligence-led operation carried out without the payment of ransom. One suspected kidnapper is arrested, while others are neutralised.

The students are among six abducted from their off-campus hostel in Kaura Namoda on June 3. Two regain freedom earlier, while sustained security operations secure the safe rescue of the remaining four.

The latest breakthrough comes days after the DSS rescued a professor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, reinforcing the agency’s sustained offensive against kidnapping and its commitment to protecting lives and improving public safety.
