Damain Okoligwe, a 400-level student of the Department of Petroleum and Gas, University of Port Harcourt who was arrested on Wednesday, October 25, after the decomposing body of his 20-year-old girlfriend, Justina Otuene, was found in his apartment, has denied killing her.
Damian who was paraded before newsmen today October 26, said he discovered her body in his apartment and has no idea who killed or dismembered her. He said he found her lifeless and did not report the matter to the authorities after he made the discovery.
Recall that on Wednesday, October 25, at about 3.30pm, operatives of Ozuoba Division received a complaint from a neighbour that a foul stench was emanating from their compound located on Road 20, back of NTA Ozuoba.
The police arrived at the premises and discovered the decomposing body. The suspect was then arrested and is currently being detained.
