President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable development across Nigeria, emphasizing transformative infrastructure projects designed to unite and uplift all regions of the country.
The announcement, described as a testament to his oath to serve all Nigerians, outlines a bold vision for economic growth, job creation, and improved connectivity.
“I took an oath to serve all Nigerians, not a section,” Tinubu declared in a stirring message shared on Monday via his official X handle (@officialABAT),
“That oath guides every bridge, road, rail, power, and health project we deliver.”
He said his oath underscored a mission to ensure no region is left behind, with projects spanning the length and breadth of the nation.
The president highlighted key initiatives, including the Lagos–Calabar Highway in the South, the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway in the North, the Port Harcourt–Maiduguri rail in the East, and the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway in the Center. Additionally, the Trans-Saharan highway, set to connect Nigeria with other African countries, was described as a “national asset” aimed at boosting regional trade and integration.
Tinubu also spotlighted progress in healthcare and energy, noting that health centers are being rehabilitated nationwide, while a revived 255MW power plant is restoring electricity to Kaduna. “Every farmer who needs a road, every trader who needs power, every child who needs a school, every patient who needs care… this is who we are building for,” he said, emphasizing the human impact of these initiatives.
Other milestones include light rail projects approved in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, and Ogun, the creation of 250,000 jobs, and expanded oil exploration in Bauchi and Gombe. The Ajaokuta–Kano–Kaduna (AKK) pipeline’s crossing of the Niger River and new bridges in Onitsha and Bonny were also celebrated as steps toward reconnecting communities.
“This is the equity of Renewed Hope,” Tinubu proclaimed. “No Nigerian is second class, no region is left behind. Together we will rise as one nation, one people, and one destiny.” He concluded with a rallying call: “Bet on Nigeria.”
