**Lagos, FCT, 10 othhers report 404 new COVID-19 cases*
Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and ten other states reported 404 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, according to the figures released on Wednesday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official website on Wednesday.
According to NCDC, the 404 new cases were recorded from Lagos, Rivers, FCT, Oyo and eight other states.
Lagos with the highest numbers for new infections reported 356 cases, Rivers – 18, FCT – 7, Ekiti – 5, Kaduna – 5, Gombe – 3, Kano – 3, Edo – 2, Ogun – 2, while Bayelsa, Plateau and Nasarawa reported a single case each.
The health agency said the 404 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 171, 728
The NCDC, however, stated that 164, 837 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the country.
With no COVID-19 related death reported on Wednesday, the death toll from the virus remains 2,134, the agency said.
It added that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
