News in details
The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has described those involved in the destruction of public facilities and infrastructures as the nation’s terrorists.
This is as he blamed such unpatriotic persons who are in the habit of destroying public infrastructures for the inability of Nigerians to fully enjoy the rewards of government investment in public infrastructures.
He also praised the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government for its ability to invest massively in the nation’s infrastructural development despite the economic challenges and paucity of funds.
He noted that the destruction of public infrastructures has become an issue of concern that must be tackled squarely.
The Minister made the submission on Monday while speaking in Abuja during a town hall meeting on the protection of public infrastructure organized by the Ministry of Information and Culture.
The minister noted that there must be infrastructural investment for economic growth to take place and that is why the government is investing in people-centered projects that can spur national growth and development.
Hence Mohammed emphasized the need to protect such facilities from those trying to destroy them.
