A disagreement at a snooker joint in Ombi 1 area of Lafia, Nasarawa State, has resulted in the death of a man following an alleged assault.
Sources said the incident was reported at about 6:00 a.m. on Feb. 21 by a resident, Akulu Sunday, who stated that his tenant, Precious Chinedu Madu, was struck with a stick during a misunderstanding with Ismail Abubakar, identified as the manager of the facility.
The victim was immediately taken to a medical facility in Lafia for treatment but was confirmed dead by a doctor on arrival.
The suspect has been taken into custody, while investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities said further developments would be communicated as inquiries continue.
