The Centre for Wounded Servicemen and Fallen Heroes Supports Fund (CFWS&FHSF) has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a courageous leader and a rare gift to Africa and the world.
Gen. Cecil Esekhiagbe (rtd.), the Centre’s Board Chairman, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja while congratulating the former president on his 88th birthday.
He wished Obasanjo divine protection, good health and a long life as he marked his 88th year.
“May this special birthday celebrate your achievements and remind you of the great things yet to come,” Esekhiagbe said.
He praised Obasanjo’s bravery, fearless leadership, remarkable vision and wisdom, acknowledging his extraordinary contributions to Nigeria and beyond.
Esekhiagbe described him as an esteemed political leader, a revered elder, and a father of the nation, highlighting his dedication and resilience throughout his life.
He commended Obasanjo’s commitment to national progress, stating that his leadership and contributions had left a lasting impact on Nigeria, Africa and the world.
He also praised Obasanjo’s advocacy for justice, equity and sustainable development, calling his leadership a beacon of hope and an inspiration for future generations.

“We wish you many more years of strength, wisdom, success and good health, and pray that God continues to enlarge your coast,” Esekhiagbe said.
