The Steering Committee of the 2023 Ofala festival Onitsha, Anambra says it has launched a website: https//ofala.org. to serve as a primary source of information about the festival.
The Editorial Publicity Lead, Ofala Steering Committee, Tony Nezianya, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Onitsha.
The 2023 Ofala festival which is slated to hold between Oct. 14 and 15 will showcase the cultural heritage of Onitsha people.
Nezianya stated that the committee was made of Onitsha indigenes from a cross section of constituent groups at home and abroad to plan and execute the Ofala festival under authority of the Obi of Onitsha.
“The Chairman Steering Committee, Dr Okechukwu Areh said that the website was designed to serve as a distinct and central hub for all information related to the Ofala festival.
“The new website: https//ofala.org./ provides an opportunity for a better dissemination of information on the Ofala celebration, including highlights before, during and after the yearly festival.
“It offers a user-friendly experience with simple navigation, ensuring that visitors can easily explore its content and access valuable information on the Ofala”, he said.
Nezianya added that website was an essential tool for drawing national, African and global attention to the Ofala festival.
According to him. it will help in ensuring that the festival attains the status of a major event in the Nigerian, and African cultural/tourism calendar.
