Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has spoken openly about the rough end to his time at SSC Napoli, claiming the Italian club treated him “like a dog” before he joined Galatasaray.

In an interview reported by Goal, Osimhen explained that a breakdown in trust with Napoli’s management, along with what he described as humiliating treatment, pushed him to leave. He also referenced a controversial TikTok video mocking him, which he said added to the strain.

“I felt they didn’t respect me the way a player should be treated. It reached a point where I was being sent everywhere and treated like a dog,” Osimhen said, according to the report.

The 27-year-old, who won the Serie A title with Napoli in 2022‑23, said these experiences influenced his decision to move to Galatasaray, where he says he feels valued and can focus fully on football again.

Osimhen’s comments come ahead of Galatasaray’s upcoming Champions League fixtures and shed light on the challenges he faced in Italy before finding stability in Turkey.
