Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has rejected a jaw-dropping €30 million-per-season deal from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal, despite the club agreeing to meet his €75 million release clause from Napoli.
Sources in Italy say the 26-year-old is determined to continue playing in Europe. Al-Hilal had hoped to secure the deal before the FIFA Club World Cup kicks off on June 14.
The Saudi side, managed by new coach Simone Inzaghi, had gone all out to lure Osimhen with a staggering salary package—but the Nigerian forward isn’t convinced.
Having spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, it remains unclear where Osimhen will land next, but one thing’s certain: his heart is still in European football.
