Operatives of the Police Command in Lagos State have detained for prosecution a 27-year-old man for alleged armed robbery.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this in a statement in Lagos on Sunday.
Hundeyin said that the suspect was apprehended on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Y junction on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the Ketu area of the state.
“A team of policemen attached to Ketu Division while on a stop and search operation accosted the suspect.
“On searching him, a locally made revolver long gun with four expended cartridges and substances suspected to be hard drug were recovered.
“The suspect has been taken into custody and exhibits registered accordingly,” the image maker said.
According to the PPRO, investigation is in progress
