Taraba State Police Command has intensified manhunt on the killers of Emmanuel Kefas, a graduate of Human Kinetics and her lover, Comfort Jimtop, a 100 level student of Mass Communication Department, Taraba State University (TSU) Jalingo.
The two lovers died mysteriously during the weekend at ATC, opposite the state university.
While Miss Jimtop’s lifeless body was found in the early hours of Friday inside her lover’s (Kefas Emmanuel) house, her lover, Mr. Emmanuel’s lifeless body was also found the same day in a bush path at Tundiri village, Ardo-Kola Local Government Area, few kilometres away from his house.
The police sources, who are conducting investigation into the incident, confirmed that a sister to Miss Jimtop was the first to have discovered the lifeless body in the boyfriend’s house after series of attempts to know her (Comfort Jimtop) whereabout failed in the late hours of Thursday.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Taraba State Command, Mr. James Lashen while confirming the incident, said a village head from Ardo-Kola came to report to the outpost station that a lifeless body of Emmanuel Kefas was found in a bush path within Kundiri village.
The acting PPRO said the two incidents which were discovered at separate points were reported to a police outpost stationed at the gate of the university.
“We are yet to ascertain who killed any of them, their bodies were discovered at separate locations. We are conducting investigation to get to the root of the killings.
“For now, their bodies have been deposited at FMC mortuary”, the police spokesman said.
