Kylian Mbappe has officially won the La Liga Golden Boot award for the second consecutive season after finishing the 2025/26 campaign with 25 league goals for Real Madrid.
The award, popularly known in Spain as the Pichichi Trophy, is handed to the highest goalscorer in the Spanish top flight.
Mbappe had also claimed the award in the 2024/25 season after scoring 31 league goals in his debut campaign in Spain, continuing a remarkable start to life at the Santiago Bernabeu following his move from Paris Saint-Germain.
The French forward finished three goals ahead of second-placed Vedat Muriqi in the final scoring standings to retain the crown.
Although Barcelona went on to win the La Liga title, Mbappé’s goals kept Madrid in close pursuit throughout the season as Los Blancos eventually finished second behind their rivals.
Mbappé has now scored 56 league goals across his first two La Liga seasons, quickly becoming the central figure in Madrid’s attack despite the pressure and expectations surrounding his arrival.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development following the conclusion of the league season.
