Filmmaker and host of the girls talk show #WithChude Chude Jideonwo has announced the release of a new true crime special – ‘She Stole Our Ovaries!’
The special tells the heartbreaking story of two young teenagers (Precious Umeayo and Theresa Obam) who allege that at the ages of 16 and 18 a woman they know as Mummy K (real names Blessing Adeleke) came into their neighborhood, groomed them and then trafficked their organs without their consent or that of their parents.
They insist they have not gotten justice from the police and the Lagos State government – and that their lives continue to remain in danger.
“This is a truly harrowing take,” said producer Jennifer Mairo. “The accused parties including the hospital are innocent until proven guilty, but to hear the first-hand accounts of these young women and their families is to see lives that have almost been destroyed crying for justice. It was truly heart breaking to put this together – and it is a deeply important story about the life-threatening injustice that our fellow citizens have to endure, sometimes for the rest of their lives.”
