Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT, has arrived at Eagle Square, Abuja, for the 2026 National Police Day Grand Parade and Procession.
The ceremony, which brings together senior government officials, the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force, security chiefs, and officers drawn from across the federation, is expected to feature a ceremonial parade, honours for officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, and a reaffirmation of the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen policing institutions in Nigeria.
Upon arrival at Eagle Square, Vice President Kashim Shettima is currently taking the salute from officers on parade as the 2026 National Police Day ceremony gets underway.
The ceremonial honours mark the formal opening of the event, with officers of the Nigeria Police Force lined up in full parade formation.
