Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in London, accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, to pay his respects to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Vice President was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum.
According to a statement, President Bola Tinubu directed Vice President Shettima to proceed to London following the passing of former President Buhari on Sunday. The Vice President will accompany the former President’s body to Nigeria for burial in Daura, Katsina State.
This development marks a significant gesture of respect and solidarity from the current administration to the late President’s family and the people of Nigeria. The burial arrangements are expected to be finalized in the coming days, with the nation preparing to bid farewell to a statesman who served the country with dedication and commitment.
