President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr Dennis Otuaro as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) and Dr Dakorinama George as the Director-General, Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).
The president’s approval was contained in a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Thursday in Abuja.
Ngelale said ”the new PAP administrator holds a PhD in Comparative Politics & Development Studies; an MSc in Public Administration, and a BSc in Education.”
He said Otuaro had served as a top-level executive of the Niger Delta Development Commission with varied experiences across multiple sectors, including infrastructure development, security, environmental remediation, as well as oil and gas.
, According to him, George, the new Director- General of the BCDA, holds a PhD in Construction Management; an MSc in Quantity Surveying and Construction Engineering, and a B.Tech in Quantity Surveying.
”He is a fellow of the Certified Institute of Practising Professionals, USA; a fellow of the Association of Strategy Professionals, USA, and a member of other distinguished associations.
”George is a former commissioner for works in Rivers State.”
Ngelale said that the President anticipated that the new appointees would bring their requisite experiences and know-how to this role to revamp the two organisations and advance the realisation of its founding purpose and vision
