President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent a warm and glowing birthday tribute to Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, describing him as a rare leader whose commitment to national progress stands out in both spirit and action.
In a heartfelt message, President Tinubu praised Uzodimma as “the true representation of a progressive, both in ideal and action,” noting that his leadership continues to reflect the principles of Renewed Hope and national cohesion.
The President said Governor Uzodimma embodies unity and patriotic duty, emphasising that he not only preaches togetherness but actively works to “strengthen our bond and blur the artificial lines that separate us.” He lauded the governor as “a patriot through and through.”
Tinubu highlighted Uzodimma’s leadership qualities, which he described as “expansive and corrective, accommodating and decisive,” adding that these traits earned him the trust of his colleagues as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum. According to him, this role reflects Uzodimma’s “broadmindedness and capacity to rally people together and inspire loyalty and comradeship.”
Recalling Uzodimma’s political journey, the President noted his impactful stint in the Senate after being elected in 2011 to represent Imo West, saying he delivered “quality and impactful representation.”
Tinubu also praised the steady transformation of Imo State since Uzodimma assumed office in 2020, pointing to visible advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security. He described these achievements as remarkable footprints that highlight the governor’s commitment to development.
Beyond governance, Tinubu offered personal commendations, describing Uzodimma as affable, dependable, and intellectually grounded. “At a personal level, Governor Uzodimma is very affable and has an admirable strength of character. He is a dependable ally. I admire his brilliance and proven problem-solving ability,” he said.
The President concluded with warm birthday wishes: “On this joyous birthday on December 12, I join family, friends, associates, supporters, and the good people of Imo State in celebrating him. I wish him many more years of good health and greater service to our country and humanity at large.”
