Tinubu receives security update from DSS DG

As part of President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing review of the national security situation, the President has received a briefing from the Director General of the Department of State Services, Oluwatosin Ajayi, at the State House.

The Presidency released a photograph of the meeting, which took place Friday night.

The briefing comes amid a series of security incidents, including two school abductions and a church attack in the Northern region of the country , prompting the Government to order the shutdown of unity colleges across the country.

It also follows President Tinubu’s decision to cancel his attendance at the G20 summit in South Africa , choosing to remain in Nigeria after the kidnapping of schoolgirls in Kebbi and Niger States and the attack on worshippers in Kwara.
