Updated: 1 dead, 12 rescued in Lagos building collapse – NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed one dead in a building collapse in the Ojodu-Berger area, Lagos State.

It also confirmed that 12 persons had been rescued so far from the rubble of the three-storey building.

NEMA Coordinator, Lagos Territorial Office, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed said this in a statement on Saturday in Lagos.

Farinloye said the cause of the collapsed was yet to be ascertained.

He said that search and rescue operation was still ongoing.
