Voting commenced in most voting poll units in Nibo and the absence of pockets of violence is making the people to hold INEC on high esteem.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Nibo reports that there was orderliness in all the polling units in Nibo.
A resident, Mr Onyeka Egbe, in 002 ward 3, Ezeawulu said the new INEC boss should be commended.
“INEC promptness is highly commendable for it can’t be possible if not for the initiative of the new helmsman of the Commission,” he said.
At Community Secondary School Awa, polling unit 003, voting is in progress as security was ensured by the peace in the area.
Most voters interviewed were impressed with the orderliness witnessed.
At Ogbu town ward 017, with 367 registered voters, voting was about rounding up with preference given to the elderly to vote first.
For the residents of Agumbala Mbaukwu polling unit 112 ward 3, the exercise is going on smoothly as voters hailed INEC for the success recorded so far.
Mr Sam Ede told NAN that things were going well when he got to the polling at 9:20 a.m where the deputy governor voted.
“Before, people will cluster polling units waiting for INEC, this time before I got to our polling unit, most voters have voted including the Deputy Governor, Onyeka Ibezim,” he said.
At St. Jude Catholic Church Nnaka, polling unit 009, there was no hitch as voters were seen exercising their franchise.
Mr Kanayo Illo told NAN that he was impressed with the Anambra electorate.
” This is exemplary for Nigerians at large to emulate and know that we can conduct a credible voting exercise, free of blame,” he said.(NAN)
