2027: Peter Obi, Kwankwaso, Dickson head NDC Campaign Council as party unveils nationwide mobilisation team
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its National Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections, with former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, and former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, taking up top leadership roles as the party intensifies preparations for the polls.
The announcement signals the party’s formal nationwide mobilisation drive, with the council expected to coordinate campaign activities, strengthen grassroots structures and provide strategic direction ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to a statement by the party, Senator Dickson will serve as Chairman of the National Campaign Council, while the NDC’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, was named Co-Chairman.
The party’s National Chairman and vice-presidential candidate, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, will serve as Vice Chairman, while Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was appointed Co-Vice Chairman.
Also appointed were the National Secretary of the party, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, as Council Secretary, and Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim as Director-General of the campaign council.
