2027: Remi Tinubu Opens PBAT Door-to-Door Headquarters, Rallies Support for Tinubu's Re-election

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday inaugurated the national headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Abuja, calling on members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

She said the movement would help take the Renewed Hope Agenda to communities across the country and urged supporters to peacefully engage Nigerians while highlighting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Mrs Tinubu also commended the movement’s Grand Patron, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, and members for their commitment to grassroots political mobilisation.

She urged campaigners to promote messages of hope, unity, development and economic opportunities, insisting that reforms being implemented by the administration were beginning to yield results.

Speaking at the event, Senate President Godswill Akpabio described the movement as a platform for strengthening grassroots engagement and mobilising support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid.

Akpabio urged members to listen to citizens’ concerns while explaining the administration’s policies, adding that economic reforms were aimed at repositioning Nigeria for long-term growth.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, also commended Tompolo for establishing the campaign movement.

In his remarks, Tompolo said the movement had already taken its campaign to 14 states and would extend its activities to the remaining states and the Federal Capital Territory before the election.

Represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Chief Kestin Pondi, he described the inauguration of the headquarters as a major boost to efforts to mobilise nationwide support for President Tinubu and APC candidates.

He maintained that President Tinubu deserved a second term, citing the administration’s economic reforms and what he described as improved national economic performance.

Governors Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State also expressed support for the movement and pledged to work for President Tinubu’s re-election.
