FCT police dismiss reports of 19 persons kidnapped in Gwarimpa

The FCT police command has dismissed reports of 19 individuals kidnapped and 12 persons killed in Galadimawa, Abuja that went viral three weeks ago.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the FCT police command, Joseph Adeh,  today November 22, says following a careful examination of the allegations, it was clearly established that these claims are false and misleading, showing an intention, either deliberately or not, to misguide and instil fear in the public.

Adeh stated that the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Haruna G. Garba, assures residents of Galadimawa and indeed the entire FCT that the Command has deployed tactical and robust intelligence apparatus to ensure the security of life and property.

While urging residents to remain vigilant, CP Haruna warned those spreading fake and baseless reports to desist from doing so. He stressed that this misinformation only serves to distort the prevailing peace and tranquillity enjoyed by the residents of FCT.

‘’The FCT Police Command remains steadfast in ensuring the safety and security of the public and urges those spreading misleading information to team with the Command to reduce crime and criminality to the barest minimum

The CP urges members of the public to promptly report distress calls and complaints through the following emergency lines: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883. Additionally, the Public Complaint Bureau (PCB)” the statement read
