Manchester United Seal €45m deal for Ederson

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta for the signing of Brazilian midfielder Éderson in a deal worth €45 million including add-ons, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano reported on Tuesday that an agreement has been reached between both clubs, with the player now expected to undergo a medical before completing the move.

According to him, Ederson is expected to sign a four-year contract with the option of a further year once the remaining formalities are completed.

The Brazilian has been a regular figure in Atalanta’s midfield in recent seasons, making over 100 appearances for the Italian club and helping them compete in both domestic and European competitions.

The move comes at a significant time for Manchester United, who are looking to reshape their midfield following the departure of Casemiro. With one of the club’s most experienced midfielders no longer part of the squad, United had been expected to strengthen that area during the summer transfer window.

Éderson’s arrival would give the club another option in central midfield and is expected to be one of the key pieces of United’s recruitment plans ahead of the new season.

With an agreement now reported to be in place, attention will turn to the medical and final paperwork before the transfer can be completed and officially announced.
