The Nigeria Immigration Service has successfully concluded the *Fourth Combined and Upgrading Course, 2026*, with a Passing Out Parade held at the Immigration Training School, Kano (ITSK) and the Digital Bridge Institute.
The training was aimed at enhancing the professional capacity of officers and has been successfully completed with the graduation of participants.
The Comptroller-General of Immigration, KN Nandap, pcc, fsmn, represented by the Assistant Comptroller-General in charge of Human Resources Management, SU Agba,pcc, FICA while speaking on the occasion congratulated the graduating officers and charged them to uphold professionalism in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities, noting that technology remains an important enabler in addressing contemporary Border Security and Migration Management challenges.
The CGIS reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to the continuous training, upgrading and welfare of its officers.
The Commandant of the Immigration Training School, Kano, CIS AN Akuneme, pcc in his address disclosed that a record number of cadets were mobilised for the training, making it the largest in the history of the School.
He urged the graduating officers to rise to the changing dynamics of Border Management by facilitating legitimate migration flows and preventing irregular migration and trans-border threats.
The ceremony featured merit awards to deserving course participants, while the high point was the commissioning of an Ultra-Modern Market constructed by the course participants. The event was attended by representatives of various security agencies, senior serving and retired officers of the NIS.
