Ondo 2024: Jimoh Ibrahim begins wards tour

Ahead of the Ondo State Governorship primaries, Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim on Thursday commenced familiarisation tour of the 203 wards across the 18 Local Government Area of the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ibrahim, one of the governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently concluded familiarisation tour of the 18 Council Areas in the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) scheduled the Ondo State governorship primaries from April 6 to April 27 while the election will hold on Nov.16.

Ibrahim, representing Ondo South at the National Assembly, said that the wards familiarisation tour was part of his consultations with party faithful across the 203 wards in the state over his aspiration.

According to him, “we have just concluded the LGA’s tour to familiarise and consult with APC party leaders and members across the 18 LGAs.

”The wards tour is to meet with party faithful at the wards level one on one and consult with them on my gubernatorial ambition,” Ibrahim said.

NAN reports that Ibrahim commenced the tour from Igbotako Ward 2, Igbotako Ward 1, Ilutitun Ward 1, Ward 2 among others in Okitipupa Local Government.

Other APC gubernatorial aspirants are Chief Olusola Oke; former Commissioner for Finance, Chief Wale Akintetinwa; former Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu; member representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Jimi Odinayo; Mathew Oyerinmade, a former APC Ondo South Senatorial aspirant, among others.
