Once a wealthy livestock owner in Alanza community, Mafa, Malam Jibrin Saleh lost everything when Boko Haram attacked his community, his livestock, and his peace. For nearly eight years, he lived in an IDP camp in Maiduguri , holding onto nothing but hope.
Today, that hope has been restored. Through the intervention of Gov Babagana Umara Zulum and the Ruga Settlement project in Mafa, Jibrin has rebuilt his life. He now lives happily with his family and has returned to farming, a symbol of resilience, recovery, and the power of good governance.
