Tinubu 2027 Project Gains Momentum as Sanwo-Olu, Yari Visit Oba of Lagos

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday welcomed the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, and other senior leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Lagos as consultations for the Tinubu 2027 project continued.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed the visit in a post shared on his official X account on Tuesday.

According to the governor, the delegation visited Iga Idunganran to pay homage to the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Riliwanu Osuolale Babatunde Akiolu, and seek his blessings and guidance for the project.

Sanwo-Olu said the consultations were part of nationwide efforts aimed at strengthening support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

The governor wrote: “Today, I welcomed the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, alongside a high-powered delegation of party leaders to Lagos.”

He added: “As part of the nationwide consultations for the Tinubu 2027 project, we visited Iga Idunganran to pay homage to the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Riliwanu Osuolale Babatunde Akiolu and to seek his blessings and guidance.”

Sanwo-Olu also praised President Tinubu’s leadership and reforms, saying they remain the foundation of the movement.

He stated: “This movement is powered by the visionary leadership and bold reforms of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His track record continues to inspire our vision for a better Nigeria.”

The governor further highlighted the importance of Lagos and its traditional institutions to the initiative.

He said: “Lagos is the heartbeat of this movement and the support of our traditional institutions gives us the strength to keep pushing forward.”
