World Cup panic for Brazil as Neymar suffers fresh injury setback

Fresh fears have hit Brazil’s World Cup camp after Neymar Jr suffered another injury setback that could rule him out of the Seleção’s opening match against Morocco.

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, revealed that medical tests confirmed the Brazilian star will be sidelined for between two and three weeks, forcing him to miss Brazil’s final round of friendly games before the tournament.

The timing is a major concern for Brazil.

With the World Cup fast approaching, Neymar is now in a race to recover and regain fitness before Brazil begin their campaign. Missing the warm-up matches also means the forward could head into the tournament short of match sharpness at a crucial stage.

The injury could also force Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti into late changes to his plans. Neymar remains one of the team’s most experienced attacking players and a key figure in the way Brazil build their play in the final third.

His possible absence against Morocco would likely place more responsibility on younger attacking stars like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Endrick much earlier than expected.
Injuries have disrupted Neymar’s recent seasons, and this latest setback has already sparked concern among Brazilian supporters ahead of the tournament.

Brazil open their World Cup campaign against Morocco in one of the biggest fixtures of the opening round, with doubts now growing over Neymar’s availability for the game.
