DSS seals clinic in Plateau over alleged quackery, death of patient

The Department of State Services (DSS) has taken action by sealing the AL-Ihsan Clinic located in the Ungwan Rogo Community in Jos North local government area of Plateau State.

This decision comes in response to allegations of quackery and the tragic death of a patient who had received treatment at the clinic.

The incident in question involved a woman who was admitted to the clinic last week and tragically lost her life following a surgical procedure carried out by a doctor at the facility.

This unfortunate event has caused a stir in the community, with residents pointing fingers at the alleged unqualified doctor responsible for the surgery.

According to sources within the community, complaints were lodged with the Plateau State Ministry of Health, prompting the DSS to investigate and ultimately seal the clinic.

Sadis Muhammad Albasu, a resident in the area, expressed concerns over the lack of medical qualifications of the doctor who performed the surgery, emphasizing the need for proper oversight in healthcare facilities to prevent such incidents in the future.
