Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are now husband and wife, almost 10 years after their relationship began.
The couple got married in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with their five children reportedly among those present.
The marriage comes exactly a year after Georgina announced their engagement on social media, sharing a picture of her engagement ring on August 11, 2025.
Ronaldo and Georgina met in Madrid in 2016 while she was working at a Gucci store. Their relationship soon became public, and Georgina has remained a constant presence alongside the five-time Ballon d’Or winner through the different stages of his career.
Together, they have built a family. They share two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, while Georgina has also been involved in raising Ronaldo’s other children, Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo.
Their wedding came just days after a bizarre mix-up in Madeira, where fans gathered outside Funchal Cathedral believing Ronaldo and Georgina were about to get married.
The wedding taking place at the cathedral, however, belonged to another couple.
Ronaldo later appeared to take the mix-up in good humour, but while the Madeira reports were wrong, the wedding was indeed close.
The couple eventually exchanged vows away from the public frenzy in Cascais, keeping the ceremony private.
